Me and my family were in Israel in the beginning of June, so we decided to take this opportunity to taste the wine. While tasting wine in Dalton Winery, we asked the rep. to tell us if there were any great boutique wineries around. She made a suggestion to go taste the wine at Meitav Winery and what a great suggestion it was. The winery is very small, but they make a such a great wine and the whole experience of tasting was incredible!!!! Very friendly atmosphere, nice owner, great representation!!! I wish them the best!!!
I believe Israeli wines are the finest kosher wines in the world and the best wines in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Since July 2008 I am importing israeli wines to Brazil. Tishbi, Chillag and Amphorae.
One of the most important wine magazine inBrazil elected theTishbi Estate Pinot Noir 2006 between the "Top 100" wines of 2008 in Brazil.
In a blind tasting of Mediterraneans Wines ,with 45 participants in Bahia's Sommeliers Associations, the Chillag Giovane Merlot 2005 worn the first price.
So, I must agree with you that Israel is making a good performance in wine making.
